Introduction

After 30 years of dedicated clinical practice at various places in the country, I have taken a turn in my life to further enhance the medical practice by looking into integrating the practice of antiquity to those of the current practices.

Modern methods of treating diseases and understanding of the mechanisms of production of diseases processes cannot be wrong, neither were the ancient practices (quipped as modern during that time). If these had been wrong then the human race would have long been wiped out from the face of this earth. If modern medicine seek evidence as prove of effectiveness, then people like Hippocrates, Ibn Sina too had sought evidences of the efficacy of their remedies before they even think of prescribing them to their ailing patients. After all both had come up with their codes of practice as we do today.

This blog is created with the intention of recording my research in Traditional Malay Medicine in the main and all other traditional practices of all groups be they medicinal or customaries. It is indeed interesting to note how relevent these practice still are today and would be good if some of them are still being adopted into our modern living culture. I have found many that are more superior to the current trends of living and would like to see the younger generation adopt them in their daily living. Even if they don't want to may be by placing these practices on this blog, their children and children's children would stumble on them and may want to adopt it whence modernity had failed them.
